When done right, dogs love to be groomed and they love to have their owners pay attention to them. These activities can help a dog to continue to stay calm and collected and keep him from barking endlessly, gnawing on furniture, and so on. And of course the more you play with your dog the more tired he becomes so he is less likely to have the energy to misbehave.
